The questions I get asked most — answered honestly, so you know exactly where you stand before you pick up the phone.
- Do you charge a call-out fee?
- No. There is no call-out fee — it is covered within the first hour's labour if any work is carried out.
- Do you charge more at night?
- I am available for emergencies at any time. Any pricing is agreed with you before I start, so there are no surprises whatever the hour.
- Will I get a fixed price before you start?
- Yes. You get a clear, fixed price quote before any work begins, and it is agreed with you first.
- Is labour and VAT included in the price?
- Labour is always included in the price quoted, and no VAT is charged.
- Will you drill my lock?
- Non-destructive entry techniques are used wherever possible. Drilling is always avoided unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Do you subcontract the work out?
- Never. If you call JIR Locksmith, you get JIR Locksmith — Jack personally, not a different tradesperson sent out on my behalf.
